Instructions for Completing the AUCSO Application

Please take a moment to complete the AUCSO Application Form in full, located at the top right section of this page. As part of the application process, you are required to submit an audition video.

Kindly record your audition and upload the video to YouTube. When uploading, be sure to set the video privacy setting to “Unlisted”. This ensures that only individuals with the direct link can view the video, and it will not appear in public search results.

Once your video is uploaded, copy the full URL and paste it into the designated field labeled “Video Audition Link” on the application form.

How to Create An Unlisted YouTube video

Start recording your video (horizontal position). State your name and the pieces you’re performing, then perform your solo piece followed by excerpts. All videos must be taken in one sitting – no splicing allowed. We will be listening for tone, intonation, technique, and range. 

1. Navigate to YouTube.com 
2. Login or Create a YouTube account 
3. In the top right-hand corner of your screen, click on the video camera with the “+” symbol
4. In the drop-down menu, click on “upload video” 
5. Click “select files” in the pop-up window
